Ginataan



Ingredients:
  • 1 Coconut grated or 1 can coconut milk ( you can buy at oriental store )
  • 1 Cup Sago or Tapioca
  • 2 - 4 pcs. Gabi - Optional
  • 1 glass Macapuno
  • 2 - 3 pcs. Camote diced
  • 4 Saba bananas, sliced crosswise
  • 6 Section nangka or bread fruit in Strips
  • 1 - 1 ½ Cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. Vanilla flavour
Cooking Procedure:
  1. Add ½ Cup warm water to coconut. Put in a cheesecloth, wring to get 1 Cup thick coconut milk.
  2. Strain and set aside. Repeat using 2 Cups warm water. Strain and boil.
  3. Add Tapioca, gabi and ubi. Cook until half done.
  4. Drop Camote, Bananas and nangka and Macapuno. Blend in sugar.
  5. Pour Vanilla flavour and thick coconut milk before removing.
  6. Cook until done. Stir occasionally.
