CaLdereta

Ingredients:
  • ½ Kilo Beef round, cut in serving pieces
  • 4 tablespoons vinegar
  • 12 pieces peppercorn, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 large sized onions, sliced
  • 1 Cup tomato sauce
  • 1 Maggi cube, dissolved
  • 2 - 3 Cups boiling water
  • 1 pc. Red bell pepper, cut in Strips
  • 2 pcs. Laurel or bayleaf
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
  • ½ Cup liver spread
Procedure:
  1. Marinate beef in mixture of vinegar, peppercorn, salt, and minced garlic for 2 hours.
  2. Fry pieces of beef in cooking oil. Add onions, and saute until tender.
  3. Pour in tomato sauce, Maggi cube, and boiling water.
  4. Add the green pepper, bay leaf, and hot sauce as desired.
  5. Cover and simmer until meat is tender. Blend in liver spread.
  6. Cook 8 minutes more. Serve!
