Ingredients:- 1 Kilo beef kabilugan, whole
- 3 - 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 pcs. onions, sliced
- 3 pcs. Medium sized potatoes, quartered, fried
- 1 carrot, cut in ½ round
- 1 sliced dayap or lemond with rind
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 6 pcs. Peppercorn, crushed
- 1 Cup tomato sauce
- 2 - 4 pcs. fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 2 pcs. Laurel, bay leaf
- 1 broth cube, dissolved
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 - 3 Cups hot water
Procedure:- Brown meat in cooking oil. Set aside.
- In the same oil saute garlic, tomatoes and onions, cook for 6 minutes. Put in dayap, soy sauce, peppercorn, tomato sauce, laurel leaf, broth cube, and salt. Simmer for 2 minutes more. Add water, Cover and simmer.
- Add potatoes and carrot, when meat is tender.
- Slice meat. Arrange on a platter with vegetables.
- Strain sauce, pour over meat.
